HEEEERE'S PAISLEY AT 10 WEEKS!

Paisley missed playing with his little brothers after they left for their forever homes, but Mom Finale filled in, and Uncle Matteo has gotten over his jealousy enough to play with Paisley as well. This week, however, we have had a couple of mini dogs visiting while their parents are in the snow country. Paisley has enjoyed having the company of tiny Piper and little Kratos and enjoyed the energetic playtimes!

Paisley is not ready to travel before the holidays, so he waited until after his brothers to get his bath. Here he is fresh and beautiful. He is having to adjust to being the only little guy left in our home. Mommy Finale plays with him but not as often or in the same way the little boys played. The constant hum of little growls as the puppies played are already missed! The best thing, however, is that each boy has the very best of homes and will be the center of attention there. I look forward to hearing from these families and our past puppy families. Christmas Time is always a favorite time for reminising past puppy litters as the Christmas Cards come in with photos of our fully grown and ENTIRELY loved Cachet Cotons in their forever surroundings and families. Finale and Wilbur's Urban is on his way home to North Carolina with new Mommy, Julie! He had his bye-bye bath and fluff session last night. However, during a potty break/turned play session outdoors this morning, Paisley decided to roll his brother's sweet-smelling coat in the wet grass. :) So we toweled off and broke out the blower one more time. Urban and Mommy Julie are also traveling by air and will be met by New Dad William on the other end. Urban's new name is Casper. Love you, Casper! Best Wishes to you and your new family!

Chesney met new Mom and Dad, Denise and Vinny yesterday and traveled home to sunny Florida. Chesney is a lucky boy to be joining this fun loving family! Chesney is trying on the new name of "Mickey" for size. He looks forward to meeting up with brother Shelton, also a new resident of Florida, for fun play sessions and visits. Have a great life, Chesney--We love you!

Sweet Shelton is on his way to his new home and new life in Florida! After a short vacation at Arizona's Grand Canyon, new parents Debbie and Cy came by to meet the whole family. Shelton is beginning his new life with an airline trip home. What a great adventure for this new family! Shelton's new name is Bleau. Farewell Bleau, live well and fully!

The Country Boys are becoming social butterflies by now. They received special Friends of Cotons in our home today. The boys are always excited to meet new friends, and Urban's new Mommy came by to visit with us as well. They are off to a great start with their socialization skills, and soon their new families will take over on these lessons. We enjoyed the outdoors with beautiful weather and finished up with a striking Arizona Sunset. Mommy Finale and Puppies took a long nap after everyone had left. Life is good and will only get better after Adoption Day!

Finale and Wilbur's Country Boys have come a long way from tiny newborns totally dependent on their Mom to independent, happy, healthy, and robust puppies ready to meet the world. They are totally weaned from Mother's milk and enjoying their dry kibble. Their little barks and growls are adorable. The energy and delight as the puppies experience new things never ceases to amaze me. The Country Boys are all very lucky to have special families waiting patiently for them, and their Coton Puppies will change their lives forever; bringing love, energy, excitement, and laughs into their homes for years to come.

Time is getting near for Adoption Day, so the puppies made the Cachet traditional socialization trip to Phoenix City Hall today. Upon their return home they had a big lunch and a LONG nap. Shelton, Chesney, Urban, and Paisley will also have a group of Coton Friends drop by to help bid a proper farewell to the puppies who will be traveling to their new homes and families in time to settle in before Christmas.

The Boys are busy as bees! They're eating like champs and becoming chubbly little boys, playing plenty, pulling on what is left of Mommy Finale's coat after her hormonal hair loss, and Paisley has clearly emerged as the leader of the pack. Everyone has a full set of puppy teeth now. The pups are almost fully weaned but still delight in stealing an occaision snack when Mom is off her guard. They are now having their pre-soaked kibble slowly switched over to dry kibble. Cachet Families-In-Waiting--Get your combs and brushes ready, because these boys have plenty of cottony heaven for you to groom! Adoption Day is coming soon and these little boys will be thrilled to settle into their new homes before Christmas.

The boys have had a very busy week. They have opened their eyes, begun to wobble walk, and their ear canals are in the process of opening! Their little appetites are growing and by four weeks they will begin solid foods. This will begin the gradual weaning process from Mom's all-night milk buffet to solid, big kid food. The little ones are becoming more aware of Mom Finale and each other. They are able to recognize objects, so I will place a few toys in their pen. They are definitely beginning to find their feet and chew on their tiny paws and on each other. By next week the puppies will be more steady on their feet and more playful. So much to look forward to!

Sire Prince Wilbur De Polana lives in the state of Washington with Annika Kronstrom at Mapixie Cotons.

Finale and Prince Wilbur's Puppies had first photos done today. Finale was relaxed enough to exercise on her own outdoors while I quickly snapped a few shots of her Pups in the Dining Room. Finale runs pretty tight security with her newborn pups. She could see me through the patio doors and did give a couple of soft yips as to say, "I know what you are doing." We have not yet given the puppies their litter names (temporary names). Litter names are much nicer to use than A, B, C, and D or Green, Purple, Blue, and White. Generally, we pick a theme and then select names related to the theme. Summer of 2008 we had "The Beach Babes" and the pups were named after California Beaches. We have also had a "Fall Theme" litter with the names "Autumn, Leaf, Windy, and Mist" and a "Christmas Theme" litter with the names Noel, Holly, Spruce, and Jewel. We are open to your ideas! If you would like to participate, send your ideas to yulonb@cox.net. They will have their names in time for 1 week photos when we will do their first individual photos. The Babies and Finale are doing very well. The Babies travel about their pen like little sea turtles low crawling in the sand and have no problem finding their Mom. The puppies daily schedule at two-days-old goes something like Eat, Sleep, Eat, Sleep, . . . Life is Good.

Finale & Prince Wilbur's puppies have arrived and are as adorable as can be! Finale labored through the night and got around to free-whelping her babies, the first one arriving close to noon today. All four puppies are BOYS!! Finale handled the two-day event like a pro, however, she and I both look like we could use a "Beauty Day." Mom Finale and her little ones are settling into their newborn puppy pen, and getting a well-deserved rest. We will have First Photos within the next few days, usually around Day 3 after nursing has been well established.

We are very happy to announce the upcoming litter from Cachet's "Finale" and her charming Prince "Wilbur." Multi-Champion Prince Wilbur De Polana was born in Nova Scotia and now lives in Edmonds, Washington. We have very high expectations for this upcoming litter and can't wait to greet Finale and Wilbur's Puppies. Thank you to Annika Kronstrom at Mapixie Cotons for working together with us to make this union a reality!

The Puppy Stork paid a visit to Cachet Cotons with four precious and beautiful, white Coton Puppies! Mother Finale did a great job with delivery and was very proud of her 3 females and one male. We called this litter "The Beach Babes," and they were given temportary names inspired by California beaches: Catalina, Huntington (male), Solana, and Carmel. These puppies were an absolute joy from birth until Adoption Day.
